How the calculation works

The core estimate is the average due date computed by adding the selected pregnancy length (in days) to the breeding date.

\[ \text{Due Date} = \text{Breeding Date} + \text{Pregnancy Days} \]

The delivery window expands around the average due date using an uncertainty value:

\[ \text{Early} = \text{Due Date} - u,\quad \text{Late} = \text{Due Date} + u \]

Where \(u\) is the uncertainty in days.

Progress tracking

The progress bar shows how far the pregnancy has advanced relative to the chosen pregnancy length:

If the result exceeds 100%, the calculator flags it as overdue relative to your inputs so you can reassess the breeding date, pregnancy length, or uncertainty.
