Wild boar pregnancy due date and timeline calculator
Wild boar pregnancy calculator
This calculator estimates a wild boar pregnancy timeline from a known breeding date. It provides an average expected farrowing date, an early-to-late farrowing window, and a practical milestone schedule you can export.
What you need to enter
Type sets a typical pregnancy length profile (average and range). Breeding date is day 0. As of date is used to compute progress and days remaining. If you enable Custom length, the calculator overrides the selected type and uses a single day count for all estimates.
Core calculations
The timeline is computed by adding day counts to the breeding date:
Average due date - \( \text{DueAvg} = \text{BreedingDate} + \text{AvgDays} \)
Farrowing window - \( \text{WindowStart} = \text{BreedingDate} + \text{MinDays} \), \( \text{WindowEnd} = \text{BreedingDate} + \text{MaxDays} \)
Days pregnant - \( \text{DaysPregnant} = \text{AsOfDate} - \text{BreedingDate} \)
Progress - \( \text{Progress} = \frac{\text{DaysPregnant}}{\text{AvgDays}} \times 100 \)
How to use the timeline
The schedule is meant to be practical rather than clinical. Use Simple mode for a few key checkpoints, or Detailed mode for a weekly plan that ends at the late edge of the farrowing window.
Interpreting the farrowing window
Natural variation is normal. The window reflects that pregnancy length can shift with age, condition, and context. If the As of date is beyond the late edge of the window, the calculator highlights that boundary row as a critical reminder to seek local professional guidance.
Exporting results
The table supports CSV and Excel export so you can keep a shareable schedule. You can also reorder and hide columns using the built-in Customize Columns control.
